Have You Ever Stopped to Wonder? : What Do They Owe Us?

Intervened Garden, Disturbed Life, Lost Harmony

Imagine a garden — vast, wild, and teeming with life. Every day, the garden’s inhabitants go about their simple routines, moving in harmony with the seasons and cycles of nature. They don’t demand much: just sunlight, water, and a patch of earth to call home. They neither compete with the gardener nor infringe upon her space. In fact, most of the time, they go unnoticed.

But one day, the gardener decides her desires are more important than the life of the garden. She longs for exotic flowers, quick-growing vegetables, and tidy pathways. She pulls native plants that “clutter” the beds, fences in animals to prevent them from “wandering,” and carves paths through areas she wants to reach more easily. In her mind, it’s progress — it’s organized, controlled. Yet, slowly, the garden loses its vibrancy and charm, its inhabitants struggling under her constant impositions. Birds no longer sing as freely, small creatures hide in fear, and plants weaken under the gardener’s selective hand.

The truth is, we are that gardener. The garden is our world — a non-vegan world, and its inhabitants are animals. They’ve never asked us to harm or restrict them(who would!); they simply live quietly, fulfilling roles that sustain the balance of nature. Yet, for convenience, pleasure, and gain, we take from them without hesitation and being conscious.

So, let us remember: these beings who share our world have only ever lived peacefully alongside us, asking nothing but a simple patch of earth. The least we can do is choose compassion over control and kindness over convenience. Let us tend the garden, not tear it apart. After all, “They’ve never harmed you, violated you, or taken advantage of you in any way, shape, or form — the least you can do is return the favor.

If you have a sound and an open 🧠 and a compassionate and an honest 🫀 , you hug Veganism so tightly and so wholeheartedly—making it your core to live life,

for LIFE; of the innocent beings, the people, and our loving, kind mother nature.

Just don’t lie to yourself or deceive yourself from the truth — that you are wise, kind, and harmless to all that breathes and feels.

#non-violence
